Another new year (1-Jan-2008)

Another new year has come and for me, another new year's eve location has been added to the list. Last year's new year's eve (uhm, 2006-2007) was a fairly unusual one for me as I celebrated the coming of 2007 on an aeroplane on the runway in São Paulo; We were supposed to be in the air already but the flight was delayed then further delayed due to the fireworks... This year's NYE (2007-2008) was much more enjoyable as I celebrated the new year with family and friends at a cottage in beautiful Colón Entre Ríos.

Again, asado was the menu of the day and in fact it was already 2008 before we began our meal (how many places in the world would you consider starting dinner at 00:30am?) It was a good friendly and relaxing way to see in the new year and I'm pleased I wasn't in BsAs for the 35+ degrees weather the city encountered on new year's day. It was no cooler in Colón either but at least we had the refreshing river Uruguay to swim in during the heat.
