Does anyone know if there is any sort of "natural law" or whatever governing the terms of rental agreements in Argentina?

I had to sign up to a 2 year contract but was told I'd be able to cancel it earlier even thats not mentioned in the contract. How much earlier? Does anyone have any experience on this?

Also, it would be great to get a reply this week - I want to give notice to the landlord by the end of the month if it's possible. Thanks

John I'm not sure on this - I've been told (but can not guarantee the accuracy) that regardless of what it is specified in your contract, if you are a consumer (not a business) then you can get out of rental contracts after six months have passed though you may lose the bond in such cases.

*NOTE* this should not be considered accurate legal advice - use it at your own risk and consult an Argentinian lawyer if you need to know the exact legal position.
