Is it safe enough living in Buenos Aires with a young family? My Argentinian wife is pregnant and we're considering moving to Argentina for a year or so. Thanks

Dave, I also have a young family and Buenos Aires seems perfectly safe to me so long as you stick to the central and northern areas. But like in all big cities you need to be aware of what you're doing and where you're going.

Your biggest danger with kids in Buenos Aires is probably having them get run over by a bus!

Yes true, the traffic can be pretty bad. Be especially careful with buses turning corners as they're often going too fast to stop. Even if you've got the cross signal give way to buses unless you see them stopping for you and be very careful crossing the road with a pushchair/stroller.
