Residencia Temporaria means temporary residence and is an immigration status held by people living in the country for reasons such as employment or studies, where that person is not eligible for or has not applied for permanent residence. Residencia Temporaria grants the person the right to live in the country for a specified duration or specific purpose. The holder of a temporary residence certificate in Argentina is able to apply for a D.N.I but they lack some of the other privileges held by permanent residents and citizens. Tourists are not given residencia temporaria, instead they implicitly receive residencia transitoria when they enter the country. |
