La Pampa

La Pampa province lies to the west of Buenos Aires province, right at the centre of the country. The major component of La Pampa's economy is livestock, especially cattle - where much of Argentina's famous beef comes from. Dairy farming is also widespread throughout the province.

Tourism is somewhat undeveloped in La Pampa, with the main attractions being the capital Santa Rosa, Lihué Calel National Park and the many estancias - elsewhere known as haciendas or rural estates, where it is possible to enjoy a relaxing weekend in the countryside.
